A brief history

Roseland Performing Arts is now entering its nineth season! The school was founded by Terry Spano (a former Rockette), who is now serving as the school's artistic advisor. The school offers a variety of classes for both recreational dancers and professionally tracked students. The school puts on two shows a year demonstrating the progress of the students.

Ms. Jessica Lavorgna, the artistic director and choreographer of Roseland Performing Arts, continues to provide a special performance based school for students serious and non-serious alike. The school's faculty includes highly trained dance professionals from around the tri-state area. We are happy to be adding more teachers to the school this year. In addition to the school's two annual shows, Roseland Performing Arts performed at the Roseland Country Fair and was invited to perform in Wildwood, New Jersey this past June. In Wildwood, the performance was quoted "exciting and very professional". The school has been invited back for another performance in June 2008. This coming season the school will be preparing for the Nutcracker, it's annual Christmas show. Roseland Performing Arts has also added to its curriculum an intensive level for students interested in more serious training. Roseland Performing Arts will also be preparing to participate in extra performances and workshops throughout the year.
